This workshop is designed to be a stimulating and stress-free, experience for beginners to advanced students. Everything has been carefully organized by Artful Journey's so all you need to do is paint and enjoy the wonderful experience of visiting Italy. Painting location are carefully chosen for scenic beauty and class size is limited for plenty of one on one instruction.
Journey Cost: $3,250. D/O. Single supplement $400. Non-painter spouses are welcome.
Trip includes: 7 nights at the Palazzo, all meals, airport transfers, ground transportation in Italy, any excursion and entrance fees and daily instructional sessions. Airfare is not included to enable travelers to use travel points, upgrade flight arrangements or extend their trip. Travel insurance is strongly encouraged. Note: A deposit of $500 is required upon registration to secure your space.
Accommodations: The Palazzo Leopoldo Hotel Radda is in Chianti, the heart of Tuscany. This historical and medieval palace offers elegance and style. It will focus on:
• Composition, understanding and simplifying shapes
• Laying down a foundation quickly and confidently
• Creating and developing a focal point
• Color mixing to create atmospheric perspective
Workshop includes: Welcome reception and informational meet and greet on day one. Each following day begins with a lecture and demonstration on the fundamentals of painting. There will be plenty of painting time, personal instruction, and group critiques to promote your progress. Participants are welcome to bring images of past work for discussion. We’ll meet at designated locations with a break for lunch. In case of inclement weather, we will work inside. We will end the week with a farewell dinner. A detailed itinerary will be furnished upon registration.
Travel Insurance: It is always a sound idea to include travel insurance at the time you purchase airfare. It won’t cost much more and can protect you if there is a last minute emergency or unexpected change of plans.
